Having once identified a mason immediate steps must be taken to isolate him from the general public. Having accomplished that it is now possible to cure him of these unfortunate masonic tendencies through the use of behavioural psychotherapy.

In lighting this candle, I celebrate your spirit as a truly swinging chick of the 50's and 60's. May the loving kindness of your power help me and bestow on me a fraction of your vampy, quirky charm that will enable me to live in peace and happiness,
and also look as good as you did in a black tube dress.
Amen. "

Piled Higher and Deeper

The odd thing I noticed was that in Star Trek I, a character was sort of left behind at the end, and in Star Trek IV, a character was picked up by the crew and brought along with them. It turns out that the actor who played the character left behind in the first movie played the dad in Seventh Heaven (not that I watched that show, I just remember the previews for it on TV). And the actress who played the character who was picked up by the crew in Star Trek IV went on to play the mom in Seventh Heaven. I thought it was a curious coincidence.

When I was a preschooler, I loved the Uncle Al Show.

Al Lewis -- the man known by generations of local children as "Uncle Al" -- has died.

From 1950 to 1985, the daily "The Uncle Al Show" aired on WCPO. Uncle Al, known for his straw hat, bow tie and accordion, died Saturday at the age of 84.

His show, which aired locally, was the longest running childrens show in the nation, according to Bill Fee, WCPO vice president and general manager.

"Anyone who has lived in Cincinnati for a while realizes that Uncle Al was part of their lives growing up," Fee said. " He and Wanda were a fixture in Cincinnati. We're going to miss him very much."

The Uncle Al show debuted on WCPO on June 12th 1950. Al’s wife Wanda Lewis joined the show in 1956 as the character “Captain Windy", drawing pictures for the children and handling many of the educational aspects of the program.

After Ren and Stimpy, I thought the envelop had been pushed as far as it could go; that comedians couldn't shock me and make me laugh.

Thank you Tim & Eric )
