Sarah Palin's been out promoting her book and her critics have been close to her tail. Mara Gay at the Atlantic Wire has collected her favourites. The singer, DJ and vegan Moby blogs against Sarah Palin's reasoning behind eating meat. He says Palin's assertion (if God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come he made them out of meat?) leads him on a strange logical trail:

"The problem, of course, being that other things are also made out of meat. Like, well, people. And doggies and kitties. And cute little human babies. So if we follow your logic, Mrs Palin, you are actually suggesting that god intended for us to eat humans and dogs and cats and human babies, as these things are all technically made out of meat."

The symbolism surrounding Lady Gaga is so blatant that one might wonder if it’s all a sick joke. Illuminati symbolism is becoming so clear that analyses like this one becomes a simple exercise of pointing out the obvious. Her whole persona (whether its an act or not) is a tribute to mind control, where being vacuous, incoherent and absent minded becomes a fashionable thing.

At times, Klaus Kinski’s reputation as a provocateur seemed to overshadow his prowess as an actor. Peter Geyer’s new full-length documentary Jesus Christus Erlöser (Jesus Christ Saviour) seems to support the notion that prevarication was an integral and inseparable part of the actor’s work. Geyer’s film documents Klaus Kinski’s November 20th, 1971 theatrical reading at Deutschlandhalle in Berlin. It was on this evening that the golden-locked, hippy-garbed Kinski engaged an audience of thousands in a reading of a 30 plus page interpretation of the story of Jesus Christ.

The audience quickly took umbrage at Kinski’s readings, and the evening turned into a multiple-hour battle of heated words and raised fists. Scenes from this event were very briefly featured in Werner Herzog’s documentary Mein Liebster Feind (My Best Fiend) but Geyer reconstructs the evening’s events using extensive, previously unseen footage. What might Kinski have done to create such a scene? Transcription of brief German language clips available on the film’s web site indicate that Kinski did a lot.

Just watched Herzog's Woyzeck, a beautiful film (well, if there can be a "beautiful" film about someone going insane and killing is wife).  My wife said that Herzog's purpose in making the film was to humiliate Klaus Kinski.  Given their relationship, I wouldn't be surprised.
